Counseling for Depression in Clear Lake (Houston, TX)

You wake up in the morning and immediately wish that the day was through and that it was time to go to bed again.

You either got almost zero sleep because you tossed and turned and looked to see what time it was too many times to count. Or you went to bed super early and slept the whole time, more than normal. Either way, you feel completely drained.  Already fatigued, your energy is zapped, and you know it won’t get better throughout the day. If only you could stay in this bed forever.

The thought of working through your to-do list gives the voice inside your head the opportunity to tell you just how many things you might screw up or how many times you might fail today.

How many times you’ve already screwed up, how big of a failure you already are.

Despite all this, you get up and face the day, because you’ve got shit to do, and it’s not going to take care of itself.  Because of this, most people wouldn’t even know that everyday feels like a struggle; that you’re completely faking it when you laugh along at their jokes or tell them that “you’re fine” when they see you in the morning.  They wouldn’t know that it feels like your feet are stuck in concrete cinder blocks that are already stuck in the mud and won’t budge; that it feels like you’re staring out a window but can’t see what’s on the other side. They’d probably be surprised to learn that you’ve contemplated what it would be like if you weren’t actually here anymore; that just maybe, you’ve already tried to make that come true before.

Depression is a mofo.  Left alone, it spirals out of control and robs you of living

Counseling can be a lifeline if you’re struggling, feeling hopeless and stuck.  Just having someone to listen to you, who’s not going to tell you to “just get over it already,” and who’s not going to make you feel like you’re being a burden, can be the starting place for your road to recovery.

Click on the “Free Consultation” button at the bottom of the page to schedule your free 25-minute phone consultation, and we can talk about what’s been going wrong in your life so far, and how we might be able to get you back to where you want to be.   I promise that there’s hope, and I can’t wait to help you find it.
